Maria Sharapova takes on Venus Williams on Friday in the third round of the 2013 Australian Open (08:00 GMT start).
This match really needs no build-up. World No. 2 Sharapova faces tennis legend Williams - two of the best players to have graced the Open Era.
Sharapova’s start in Melbourne couldn’t have been better. She has won both of her opening matches 6-0 6-0 this week, and doesn’t seem to be leaving room for complacency.
As for Venus, she’s also been in great form. She secured a 6-3 6-3 victory against Alize Cornet in the second round. She finished her 2012 season with a title in Luxembourg and seems to be as strong as she’s ever been since making her comeback.
Sharapova holds a 4-3 head-to-head record against Williams ahead of this match.
"There are certainly no secrets coming into that match-up," the Russian admitted after progressing to round three.
"We've played against each other many times, and despite the fact she might not be seeded high or didn't play for a little bit, she's still a very experienced player and a tremendous athlete. There won't be too many secrets. I hope it will be a great match."
We're sure it will be.
Prediction: Sharapova in three.
