Li Na takes on Petra Kvitova this evening in the quarter-finals of the 2013 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart (18:30 BST start).
Li is a former French Open champion and that class shone through on Thursday as she blasted past Croatian veteran Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 6-1 6-2 to reach the last eight of the WTA Stuttgart.
Lucic-Baroni had been impressive in her first round win over Elena Vesnin, but she never had any chance against this year's Australian Open finalist.
Kvitova's second round match couldn't have been more contrasting. She trailed by a set and a break against 2011 champion Julia Goerges and appeared on her way out of the tournament as a composed Goerges clocked up the winners. However, Kvitova dug deep and eventually battled through to win 2-6 7-6 6-2.
The head-to-head between these two is locked at 2-2. We know that Kvitova has the ability to step up a gear - she reached the semi-finals of the French Open last year and beat Sara Errani in the Fed Cup last weekend.
They both won one match apiece in 2012 - Li winning 1-6 7-5 6-2 in the Sydney semi-finals and Kvitova getting revenge 7-5 2-6 6-3 in the Montreal final in the summer.
This could be close.
Prediction: Kvitova in three.
