Anderson Silva beat Stephan Bonnar in the main event at UFC 153 on Saturday night, successfully stepping up to light-heavyweight.
Silva, the UFC middleweight champion, had been odds-on with bookmakers to win the bout in Brazil, and finished off his opponent in Round One, recording a TKO after 4 mins 40 seconds (see below for video).
Silva overcame early takedown attempts by Bonnar and floored him with a perfect knee before finishing the fight with a flurry of punches.
"I'm not the best. I just believe I can do things that people think impossible," Silva said after extending his winning streak inside the Octagon.
"I won't fight at 205 again, I was doing it to save the event, but I won't fight at 205 again."
Prior to the fight, 'The Spider' had already admitted he was keen on fighting Georges St-Pierre in 2013 (see Related Articles).
