Things are starting to look bright in Atlanta as all-around outfielder Eddie Rosario is expected to return to the Braves lineup soon.
The 30-year old Rosario, who has been on the injured list since last April due to blurred vision, made his return to rehab over the weekend at Triple-A Gwinnett.
In his return to rehab, the Puerto Rican star suited up as a designated hitter and went 1-out-of-4 with a single and two strikeouts in a game.
Rosario started the season on a terrible note with a slash line of .068/.163/.091 prior to undergoing surgery.
He is expected to go on at least a few more rehab starts before rejoining the star-studded Braves’ lineup that features a slew of outfielders and designated hitters. Rosario will be among the sixth outfielders fighting for three playing spots.
Among the Braves’ premier outfielders and designated hitters include Michael Harris II, Adam Duvall, Guillermo Heredia, Marcell Ozuna, and Venezuelan star Ronald Acuña Jr.
