Dominican designated hitter Carlos Santana is heading to Seattle again.

This after the Kansas City Royals traded the 36-year old Santana and cash considerations to the Mariners for Wyatt Mills and William Fleming.

Santana, who has appeared in 52 games with the Royals this season, was previously acquired by the Mariners along with J.P. Crawford from Philadelphia in 2018 but did not appear in a game.

He was later traded by the Mariners as part of a three-team deal with the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians.

Santana is coming off a stellar June wherein he batted an average of .357 while scoring eight runs, five doubles, two home runs, 11 RBIs, and 13 walks at a .478 clip and slugging .554.

Overall this season, the Dominican dynamo has a slashing average of .216/.349/.341 with four home runs and 21 RBIs while suiting up defensively at first base 42 times and 10 times as a designated hitter.
