The Atlanta Braves defeated the Washington Nationals, 16-4, which is probably the most one-sided affair on Tuesday night in the MLB. After surprisingly winning the 2021 World Series, which was their first title since 1995, the Braves will surely do their best to defend it despite not being huge favorites to do so.

The Braves had a disappointing pre-season where they suffered five consecutive losses to the likes of the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, and the Tampa Bay Rays. On one occasion, they were even crushed, 10-0, by the Yankees who are desperately looking to get back on the MLB throne for the first time since 2009.

However, the team from Atlanta will still need to work on its consistency as they are now 8th in the National League with 3 wins from 6 matches. There are some tough games on the horizon for the Braves who will first travel to San Diego to face off the Padres and then go on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers to show the world that beating them in the 2021 League Championship Series had nothing to do with luck.
