Highly-touted catcher Francisco Alvarez will be representing the New York Mets in the MLB All-Star Futures Game slated on July 16 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

It was the second straight All-Star Futures appearance for the 20-year old Alvarez, who recorded a pinch-hit home run in last year’s edition.

Alvarez is currently splitting time between the Mets’ Double-A and Triple-A squads, registering averages of .904 OPS with 18 homers throughout 69 games.

Also joining the Venezuelan catcher are his fellow MLB prospects Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles and Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Meanwhile, the hitting group will be composed of Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II, Riley Greene of the Detroit Tigers, Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners, Nolan Gorman of the St. Louis Cardinals, Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals, and Adley Rutschman of the Orioles.

Completing the teams are pitchers Shane Baz of the Tampa Bay Rays, Brayan Bello of the Boston Red Sox, Reid Detmers of the Los Angeles Angels, Matthew Liberatore of the Cardinals, and Nick Lodolo of the Cincinnati Reds.
