Celtics storm back in the 4th to win Game 3

The Boston Celtics took an important step towards their possible 18th NBA Championship after defeating the Warriors at home in Game 3 of the Finals, 116-100. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum didn’t crumble under pressure in TD Garden as they ended up with 27 and 26 points respectively. Marcus Smart was also clinical for the win with his 24 points on 47.1% shooting.

On the other side, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson shined bright for the Warriors finishing off with 31 and 25 points. The “Splash Brothers” combined for 11-24 from deep, but unlike Games 1 & 2, their team was dominated in the paint. The Celtics grabbed 16 more rebounds throughout the night as exactly these second-chance points made the difference in the end.

Draymond Green went missing in Game 3 finishing off with just 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 personal fouls. On top of that, Andrew Wiggins continued with his open shot struggles missing numerous lay-ups. Al Horford and Robert Williams took over in Game 3 winning possession after possession for their team. With this win, the Celtics get an inch closer to winning their record-tying 18th title and the first since 2008.
