Devin Booker signs a contract extension

Published on

The Phoenix Suns have officially announced Devin Booker’s signing a supermax contract extension with them. The team from Arizona was on the verge of losing its edge in the face of Booker and Ayton, but it seems they might ride along for a couple more seasons, keeping the hope for an NBA Championship alive.

The athletic shooting guard joined the NBA back in 2015 when he was just 18 years of age. Now, at 25, Booker seems to be the new irreplaceable figure at Footprint Center. The versatile talent of the boy from Michigan led the Suns to their first NBA Finals since the 1993/1994 season.

Booker was also the most significant part of the rebuilding process of the Suns. Despite his unparalleled talent, he stayed loyal to the team that hasn’t made the playoffs for 10 straight seasons.

The Suns were top favorites to win the Championship last year, but they crumbled under pressure against the Dallas Mavericks. However, with Devin Booker and Chris Paul staying for yet another season, the team might have a chance to bring the NBA title to Arizona for the first time in franchise history.
