Franca wins the series 3-0 against Pinheiros

The top-seeded team in the NBB, Franca, didn’t really face a tough competition against the 8th-seeded Pinheiros. They came on top in the first two games of their series after showing consistency and sheer accuracy in the last quarter. However, Franca didn’t have to rely on their high-performance levels throughout the last 12 minutes of the game, as they had a 27-point lead in the middle of the 3rd quarter. 

The big favorite to lift the trophy this season made some expected rotations in the last quarter which allowed Pinheiros to cut their deficit to 12 points for the final score, 79-91. Georginho de Paula ended up with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Lucas Dias and Jhonatan Dos Santos added respectively 18 points and 16 points for the win. Rafael Munford was the biggest threat ahead for the top-seeded team, but finished off the tie with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist. 

Franca still awaits their opponent in the Semifinals of the NBB as Sao Paulo will most likely be their last obstacle before the Grand Final.
