Golden State Warriors bounce back with a masterpiece in Game 5

The Golden State Warriors are on the verge of winning their 7th NBA Championship following a masterful display in Game 5. Andrew Wiggins lifted his team to the final victory, 104-94 as he finished off with 26 points and 13 rebounds on 12-23 shooting from the field. Klay Thompson sank five 3-pointers for the win making his way into second all-time place for most 3-pointers in the NBA Finals. On the other hand Steph Curry’s streak of making at least one shot from beyond the arc has come to an end. The talented 34-year-old point guard enjoyed 233 straight games in the regular season and playoffs with at least a single 3-pointer but this endly sadly in last night’s game.

This loss for the Celtics means that they don’t have much room for error in the remaining minutes of the 2022 NBA Finals. At least they will have a home-court advantage on Thursday in Game 6. However, their home record during these Playoffs has been quite unreliable as they have won 6 of 11 matches played at TD Garden.

All in all, if Boston wants to have a shot in Game 7, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will need to step up their game in order to stop the Warriors from claiming the gold.
