Goran Dragić joining the Chicago Bulls

Chicago Bulls have acquired the 2018 NBA All-Star, Goran Dragić, in one of the most recent and valuable trades during this offseason. The 36-year-old point guard will bring a lot of experience to the Eastern Conference team.

Selected as a second-round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, Dragić has had a steady, but at the same time decent career in the league. The Slovenian showed sheer determination to develop as a player, winning the 2014 NBA Most Improved Player Award.

He then went on a 6-year spell in Miami where he spent his best years in the NBA. In his first season, the talented Slovenian led his team past the Bulls helping them sweep the season series, happening for the first time since 2004. Ironically, he joins one of the Heat’s biggest rivals – the up-and-coming roster in Chicago.

Despite the lack of playing time throughout the last two campaigns when he played 21 games for the Raptors and the Nets, Dragić will undoubtedly be able to blend within the Bulls. The 36-year-old point guard will team up with Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan who can only benefit from his presence on the court.
