John Wall heads towards the LA Clippers

Published on

John Wall has reached a buyout agreement with the Houston Rockets which will give him the chance to sign with any NBA team of his liking. He has shown some interest in joining the LA Clippers which seems to be the favorite for his signature.

The 31-year-old point guard had no playing time last season as the Rockets wanted to rebuild their roster with young players like Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green. Wall was a 5-time NBA All-Star (2014-2018) back in his days in Washington. Toward the end of 2018, he suffered a season-ending injury on his left heel, preventing him from putting out performances that he had been more than capable of earlier in his career.

John Wall was considered a valuable asset when healthy as a Wizard. By joining forces with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, he will have even more incentive to give the Clipper fanbase all that he has left.

If Wall can get back to his former self his fast transition play will surely benefit the Clippers who can make a great use of his speed throughout the season. However, it will take some time before finally adapting to Tyronn Lue’ coaching style.
