The basketball fans had the opportunity to see yet another intriguing battle between young prospects as Keegan Murray faced off Chet Holmgren on Wednesday night. Murray managed to outperform his colleague from Oklahoma, but his efforts came up short as the Kings failed to capture their opportunities, thus losing 86-80.

The №4 overall draft pick Keegan Murray slowly, but surely proves his worth as the small forward finished off with 29 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and two assists. The talented player from Iowa made Holmgren’s night a nightmare as he managed to dominate him on both ends of the court.

The 6-foot-9 Kings player won the 2022 Karl Malone Award given to the top men’s collegiate power forward as he joined Montrezl Harrell, Deandre Ayton, and Zion Williamson who have previously got the prize. Iowa won the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament in March as Keegan Murray was a crucial factor in their success, thus winning the MVP award.

The powerful and athletic power forward can surely bring a lot of versatility to Sacramento. The 21-year-old enjoys his time in the Summer League so far as he will need to work hard to achieve new heights in his rookie year.
