Minas closed out game 3 versus Unifacisa

The 3rd-seeded Minas struggled a lot in their two away matches against Unifacisa. They lost the previous game, 91-80, and found themselves in a pretty tight spot on Monday night as they were down 71-52 after the end of the third quarter. However, after a 10-0 run towards the end of the match, they managed to take the lead, 80-81, with just a couple of minutes to go.

In the end, they sank a clutch 3-pointer which broke the heart of everyone who supported Unifacisa. Guilherme Pereira Deodato finished off with 27 points on a 9-13 shooting for the night. The efforts of Unifacisa’s players came up just short as Antonio Ferreira, Trevor Gaskins, and Andre Bresolin added a total of 52 points for their team.

Minas will try to repeat their success from January when they ended up winning the Super 8 Tournament after defeating Sao Paulo in a dramatic fashion in the final. If they manage to go past Unifacisa, they will most likely face Flamengo for a place in the NBB Finals.
