Although 6’6” AJ Griffin may be traditionally short for the small forward position, he has proven at Duke that he is a solid player on both sides of the court. He has a tremendous defensive ability despite his size and can guard multiple positions, making him an incredibly valuable player to practically every NBA roster. This season for Duke he put up 10.4 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 1 APG and also shot an efficient 44.7% from the three point line.
Analysts believe he could fit nicely into the Pelicans squad and be back up for Brandon Ingram who has really been performing as of late. He would also make a nice replacement for CJ McCollum as well. Another team where Griffin could succeed would be the Washington Wizards as a replacement for Kyle Kuzma or Bradley Beal.
