Nikola Jokić goes down in the history books by agreeing to a 5-year $264 million super-max extension contract with the Denver Nuggets, thus setting a new record for the largest deal in NBA history.
The 27-year-old Serbian signed with the Nuggets back in 2015 when he was selected as a 41st draft pick. He made his mark in the NBA by becoming a 2-time MVP, a 4-time All-Star, and making the All-NBA First Team three times.

Jokić has led the Nuggets to new heights as the team returned to the Playoffs following a 5-year drought. In the 2020 NBA bubble, he helped his Denver squad pass the Jazz and Clippers in 7-game series, but his efforts came up short in a 4-1 loss to the Lakers in the Conference Finals.
The versatile center has worked much to elevate his game to a level that he has become one of the biggest threats in the league, he might even be the greatest passing big man in NBA history. Jokić has already made quite a name for himself in the NBA and this contract will allow him to cement his legacy as one of the greatest European players of all time.
