Flamengo and Sao Paulo successfully closed out their series on Tuesday night in the NBB. Both teams had no troubles in the Quarter-Finals Stage as Flamengo swept Paulistano, while Sao Paulo dominated over Bauru. The difference was quite visible in Game 3 when both teams won by around 20 points in the end leaving their opponents no chance of bouncing back.
Flamengo took a demanding 22-point lead at the half which was more than enough to secure the victory in the end, 68:87. Surprisingly, Jose Paulo Batista was the highest scorer for the winners with 15 points on a 6-10 shooting from the field. São Paulo, on the other hand, took off fantastic as well, opening a 17-point advantage after two quarters. Bruno Caboclo helped his team get things done with 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists for the night.
Sao Paulo will have the toughest task in the Semi-Finals facing off the top-seeded Franca. On top of that, they have lost 4 out of their last 5 games against this opponent. On the other hand, Flamengo still awaits the winner between Minas and Unifacisa.
