Paolo Banchero makes his debut in Las Vegas

The Orlando Magic forward and №1 draft pick Paolo Banchero enjoyed a spectacular debut in the NBA Summer League. The 19-year-old prospect from Seattle, Washington, took off for 17 points, six assists, and four rebounds in just 25 minutes on the court in Las Vegas.

His team clinched the final victory over the Houston Rockets, 91-77. Banchero himself was a plus-20 player throughout the match which will certainly give him even more confidence for the upcoming meetings. Moreover, the young prospect managed to completely dominate his colleague from Auburn, Jabari Smith Jr., due to his footwork, scoring, and passing.

The №1 draft pick showed off his passing and playmaking skills which are the essence of his playing style, making him quite the valuable asset for Orlando. The Magic are in a rebuilding process and they can only benefit from having Banchero on the roster for the upcoming NBA season.

The young forward will be determined to prove to the world that he deserves to be the top pick in the draft. Although the competition for the Rookie of the Year seems fierce, everyone expects to see a 4-way battle between Paolo Banchero, Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith Jr., and Jaden Ivey.
