Phoenix Suns re-sign Deandre Ayton

Published on

The Phoenix Suns officially re-sign Deandre Ayton on a multi-year contract. Despite Indiana Pacers’ huge 4-year, $133 million offer, the Western Conference team managed to keep their star at Footprint Center.

The 23-year-old center has proven his worth in helping his team reach the Playoffs and eventually the NBA Finals back in 2021. Being compared to Hakeem Olajuwon is something that puts immense pressure on his shoulders, but he has managed to live up to the high expectations so far.

Ayton is considered one of the best centers in the NBA in recent years as his physical attributes and footwork allow him to be quite versatile in the paint. Not only has he been a nightmare for the opposition, but he also developed himself as a deadly finisher. On top of that, his positioning can be compared to those of the most experienced players in the League.

He undoubtedly became an irreplaceable part of the Phoenix Suns’ roster. His pairing with Devin Booker and Chris Paul has proven to be quite successful as it seems that it’s only a matter of time before they win their first NBA Championship in their franchise history.
