Suns rain on the Mavericks parade

Published on

It was an embarrassing night for the Dallas Mavericks as they were blown out by the reigning Western Conference champions in Game 5 of the series. The Suns managed to beat the Mavs 110-80 in front of their home crowd in Phoenix. Devin Booker put in one hell of a performance, scoring 28 points and he even managed to grab a pair of steals. Booker has been on fire in the last few seasons and it is understandable why the late great Kobe Bryant had put so much faith into the young star.

Unfortunately for the Mavericks they just weren’t able to play the same level of basketball as the suns and you could see when the final buzzer went how frustrated the Dallas team were. Many can see Phoenix winning the next game and sending the Mavs out of the tournament due to the fact that Luka just does not have the right support network around him. Mark Cuban and co need to really start to think about how could they improve the roster this off-season, as right now is proving one man can not do it all.
