Trade Alert: Jerami Grant to the Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers might have sealed the deal of the year after acquiring Jerami Grant from the Pistons in exchange for a 2025 first-round pick and a second-rounder. The Western Conference team has been struggling to put out a decent team around their All-Star player, Damian Lillard.

However, with Jerami Grant’s signature, it seems that they have finally got what they have been looking for all these years. The 28-year-old power forward has reached a new pinnacle in his career in Detroit after finishing off the 2020/21 NBA season with 22.3 points per game and .845 success from the free-throw line.

The Blazers are looking forward to the upcoming campaign as their potential has swiftly gone through the roof with that trade. With the emerging young talents in the likes of Keon Johnson, Nassir Little, Anfernee Simons, and Brandon Williams, the future looks bright on the West Coast.

On the other hand, this might have been one of the worst possible trades the Pistons could have made as they lost their second driving force in exchange for something unknown in the future. This decision further supports the management’s vision of building a team around Cade Cunningham.
