Moran believes his experience will be key against Torres

Mexican gladiator Antonio Moran is confident that his experience will propel him to a victory in his comeback fight against Jeffrey Torres this Friday in Plant City, Florida.

The 29-year-old Moran, who has not fought since August 14 after losing via unanimous decision to Arnold Barboza, believes that the skill level of his previous opponents is far more superior to Torres.

Torres currently holds an impressive record of 10-1 (win-loss) with six knockouts and is coming off a three-fight win streak.

“I believe the level of opposition I have faced and my experience will be a huge advantage for me in this fight and in this tournament,” Moran said.

Moran has had rough stretches in his career with losses to lightweight contender Jose Pedraza and Devin Haney.

However, the cat-quick Mexican believes that he can become a legitimate contender should he win the tournament. The winner of the Torres-Moran bout is scheduled to take on the victor of the Michael Dutchover-Clarence Booth fight.

“I don’t think people have seen the best version of me. I’ve made some adjustments after my losses. I always learn and I always want to get better,” Moran added.
