EastEnders will finally reveal the identity of the killer this evening (February 19th).
Bobby Beale remains at the top of the betting in bet365’s Who Killed Lucy Beale Odds market at time of writing, and such is the demand in the market, the British bookmaker will be betting ‘In-Running’ during tonight’s episode when the killer will finally be revealed.
EastEnders’ executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins this week admitted that the killer could still be “anyone”.
At the start of the year, Eastenders highlighted a number of possible suspects, with Emma Summerhayes seemingly meeting the killer after cracking the case.
But speaking on BBC Breakfast on Monday, Treadwell-Collins insisted that every character is still in the running – appearing to hint that the killer may not be one of the names on the official suspect list.
Speaking about the conclusion of the whodunit, he said: “I can’t tell anyone at the moment! We’ve narrowed it down a bit to about 11 people, but it still could be anyone.
“We’ve been very firm from the beginning that there are twists and turns all the way through this story. So the betting’s still on – it could still be literally anyone.”
He added: “On Thursday, by the end of the second episode – the flashback episode – all will be revealed.
“And then on the Friday, you find out why.”
