Oscars 2015: Eddie Redmayne tipped to to win Best Actor at the 2016 Oscars!

Eddie Redmayne could make it back-to-back Best Actor wins at next year’s Oscars, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

With the British actor off the mark, Ladbrokes make him just a 12/1 shot for consecutive Best Actor wins at the Oscars, while patriotic fans can take the 33/1 on offer for Redmayne to equal, or beat, Daniel Day Lewis’s record of three victories.

It is an outside chance, but for the optimists out there it is a 100/1 shot The Theory of Everything will not be his first or last time on the shortlist should Redmayne join Jack Nicholson on 12 Oscar nominations.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge told Crunchsports.com: “For the majority of awards season it had been a tightly run race between Redmayne and Michael Keaton,.

“But after his SAG win the Brit looked home and hosed for the Oscar as the odds-on favourite.”
