Alice is favourite to be the name of the second royal baby, according to British bookmaker Ladbrokes.
On confirmation on Saturday morning that a Princess has been born, Ladbrokes make Alice the favourite at 7/4 with Charlotte next at 3/1.
Other names proving popular among royal watchers are Elizabeth which has halved from 12/1 to 6/1 and Diana which is now the fifth favourite at 10/1.
Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge told Crunchsports.com: “We’re just as thrilled as royal fans that a healthy princess has been born despite it costing us plenty.
“Attention now turns to the name game and Alice, Elizabeth and Diana are the hot tips.”
Bookies nationwide have paid out an estimated £250,000 to those who backed the baby to be a girl, including £15,000 to a punter in Manchester having his first royal bet.
