Edgar ‘Sparg0’ Valdez will be the first Super Smash Bros Ultimate player to join FaZe Clan. The news about the Latin American pro player was announced during Genesis 8.

The world’s largest grassroots smash event was held at the SJ McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, between April 15 to April 17, 2022. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl were among the games featured in the esports tournament.

Dressed in a hoodie, Sparg0 attended Genesis 8 and made his way to the semis of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament. Right before his semis match, Sparg0 took off his hoodie and revealed the logo of FaZe Clan to the world. The video was broadcasted live on Beyond the Summit’s Smash Twitch channel. He was previously sponsored by XTR Esports, a gaming organization based in Tijuana, Mexico.

FaZe Clan is an esports brand that was established in 2010. It has teams for major game titles including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Call of Duty, Fortnite, PUBG, Rainbow Six, Valorant, and Rocket League.
