Argentine duo reportedly on the move

With the new season starting in less than two weeks, clubs from all across Europe are ramping up their efforts to get new signings through the door.

Two players from the Argentina national side, Nahuel Molina and Giovani Lo Celso are two players reportedly close to joining new clubs.

Molina landed in Madrid on Monday and completed his medical ahead of his move to Spanish Giants Atletico Madrid from Italian side Udinese.

It’s believed that Molina will sign a five-year deal at the Wanda Metropolitano, with Atletico needing to pay at least €20 million – a fee that should be agreed in the next few days.

Molina could be joined in Spain by his teammate Giovani Lo Celso.

Since completing his move to Tottenham from Real Betis in 2019, Lo Celso has endured a frustrating time of things. Unable to hold down a first-team place due to injury and a loss of form, Lo Celso spent the final half of last season on loan to Villarreal.

A key part of Villarreal’s shock run to last year’s Champions League semifinal, it’s believed that Villarreal are in the driving seat to sign the Argentine permanently, but a fee with Spurs still needs to be agreed.
