Vidal has played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs which include the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Now out of contract, it’s believed that Vidal will soon sign an 18-month contract with Brazilian side Flamengo.

According to several reports, Vidal has agreed on a deal and is set for a medical later this week.

The Brazilian season is well underway and Flamengo currently find themselves languishing down in 8th place. They currently sit five points behind those teams occupying the Copa Libertadores qualifying positions. Flamengo will be hoping that the arrival of Vidal will help propel them up the table.

A South American great, Vidal’s return to the continent of his birth is big news. A hugely popular player across the world it will be fascinating to see how Vidal adjusts to life in Brazil.
