Dybala’s transfer to Inter is in doubt – what’s next?

Published on

The mystique that is Inter Milan’s transfer window continues to roll on. The Inter board have already flagged that they will need to sell in order to buy – but that hasn’t stopped the Italian side being linked with numerous new players.

Romelu Lukaku is set to return to the club on loan and was widely expected to partner with Paulo Dybala upfront. Dybala is a free agent having left Juventus and was anticipated to join Inter this summer – but the transfer seems to have stalled and many are now doubting whether the move will happen.

Dybala’s arrival would leave Inter with a front three of Lukaku, Lautoro Martinez and Dybala – it’s widely expected that Inter can’t afford all three.

The Italian club have key players such as Milan Skrinier, Alessandro Bastoni and Martinez and all have been linked with moves away from Inter. The departure of one of their star men would fetch plenty of money and help Inter rebalance their books.

If one of these three departs San Siro it’s expected that Inter will then snap up Dybala.

Roma, Tottenham and Arsenal are all reportedly back on red alert to lure the Argentine if his Inter move falls through. It remains one to watch with intrigue.
