Firmino a target for Juventus

Published on

Rumours from Italy have started to circulate regarding Italian giants Juventus holding a keen interest in Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.

According to reports, Liverpool would seriously consider an offer of around €20 million.

In the last year of his contract, Firmino has seen his game time dramatically reduce following the arrival of both Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz. With just one year left on his contract at Anfield, Liverpool could decide to cash in on him now, rather than lose him for free next season.

A stalwart under Jurgen Klopp, Firmino has played a vital role in helping guide Liverpool to their first ever Premier League title as well as their Champions League glory in 2019.

If Firmino were to depart Anfield it would signal the end of an era. For so long the Liverpool front line was led by the trio of Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Firmino. Mane has already left the club and if Firmino were to leave it would just leave Salah remaining at the club.

The Brazilian scored five Premier League goals in twenty appearances last season.
