From Unknown to Potential 1st Round Picks
Some players are unknown or unheard of every year during the college season; yet they break out so big that they go from players not on the NFL mock drafts in the preseason to being in the 1st round of NFL mock drafts in April.
Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
While not a box score king, Davis’ ability to clog up the middle of the interior is potentially the best of any defensive tackle in a decade. He is also a first-round lock with his mammoth size and the freakish numbers he put up at the combine.
Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
Dotson is slightly undersized, but his huge year at Penn St., especially with inconsistent quarterback play and his top-level speed, has him potentially getting drafted at the end of the first round.
Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
As Cincinnati came to the spotlight as a non-power five darling, the first to make the college football playoff, it was hard to miss Gardner. His stellar play for the Bearcats has him as the potential top corner in the draft.
