Fulham complete Andreas Pereira’s transfer

Published on

Ahead of their return to the Premier League, Fulham are making moves to strengthen their squad ahead of what could be a difficult season.

After a quiet start to the window, Fulham have completed some rapid business and have confirmed the signing of Andreas Pereira from Manchester United.

Pereira makes the move down south after spending almost ten years at Old Trafford. Regarded as a highly promising teenager, Pereira moved to English football aged just 15 but during his spell with United wasn’t quite able to break into the first team.

A periphery figure, Pereira has been loaned out to Lazio and Flamengo in previous seasons. The move to Fulham enables Pereira to get his career back on track and if he makes a good start to the season, he could find himself forcing his way into the Brazilian national team ahead of this year’s World Cup.

Fulham aren’t finished with their transfer business and have their eyes on another Brazilian in the form of Pedro who currently plays for Flamengo.

Pedro has reportedly been made available for loan and Fulham are believed to hold a keen interest in bringing him to Craven Cottage. It will be a transfer to keep an eye on as the summer rolls on.
