Running Back Mike Davis Signed By Ravens

Published on

On Tuesday, former Atlanta Falcons running back Mike Davis signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Davis is a 29-year-old graduate of the University of South Carolina entering his eighth year in the NFL. He first broke into the league in 2015 with the San Francisco 49ers. Davis was used sparingly over two seasons with the 49ers, and in 2017 the team released him, though the Seahawks quickly signed him.

Davis thrived in Seattle, appearing in 15 games in 2018 and rushing for a remarkable 4.6 yards per carry. Despite his success, Davis continued to bounce between teams. He spent the 2021 season with the Atlanta Falcons, rushing for 503 yards on 138 carries.

Davis joins a running back room devastated by injuries. Baltimore’s top two running backs, J.K Dobbins and Gus Edwards, both tore ACLs before the start of last season and will likely be out until training camp.
