Top 5 NFL Draft Class: Philadelphia Eagles

Published on

With only five total picks, the Philadelphia Eagles got incredible talent. The draft weekend trade for AJ Brown has to be included. After watching what some teams have given up for wide receivers, getting Brown for just a first and a third is an incredible value.

Then the Eagle’s draft picks themselves were fantastic. Jordan Davis, the Georgia DT, will anchor the middle of the Eagle’s D-Line for the next decade. Then getting top ten talent Nakobe Dean in the third round, regardless of injury talk surrounding him, is still ridiculous value. Even if he missed his entire rookie year, it would still be a great pick.

Nebraska center Cameron Jurgens will have a year to learn behind Jason Kelce before taking over the center spot. Then TE Grant Calcaterra, if he stays healthy, could be a starting-caliber tight end. Great value for a sixth-round pick. The Eagles have firmed up their defense and added some tools around Jalen Hurts, giving them a chance to compete for a playoff spot this season.
