West Ham tracking Yuri Alberto

West Ham want to add to their summer business by bringing in 21 year old Brazilian forward Yuri Alberto.

Alberto is a name that has been tracked by several of Europe’s biggest clubs since he was a teenager. Now plying his trade at Russian club Zenit St Petersburg, it’s believed that Alberto is seeking a new challenge despite only joining the Russian club in January of this year.

Alberto made an immediate impact for Zenit scoring six goals and providing four assists in just fifteen appearances for the Russian side.

Moyes would look to pair Alberto with Jarred Bowen giving West Ham a dynamic attack that would be respected across the Premier League.

West Ham will want to build on their great season last year which saw them reach the Europa League semi finals. The Hammer’s focus this year will be on the Europa Conference League, a trophy that they will start as one of the favourites for. Moyes and West Ham will also harbour hopes of mounting a serious top four challenge and in order to compete on both fronts will need a deep squad.

West Ham’s main rivals for the signing of Alberto looks to be in the shape of Corinthians but it’s believed that the Hammers can put together a better financial package and are set to be in the driving seat.
