Brazil’s Fittipaldi and Drugovich headline Imola circuit

Brazilian motorsports racing drivers Enzo Fittipaldi and Felipe Drugovich hope to put up a spectacular performance in the Formula 2 Imola circuit this April 24.

Joining them are PREMA Racing’s Dennis Hauger and Jehan Daruvala, ART Grand Prix’s Frederik Vesti and Theo Puirchaire of France, and Van Amersfoort Racing daredevils Jake Hughes and Amaury Cordeel.

The 25-man pool will also include Jack Doohan and Marino Sato of Virtuosi Racing, Liam Lawson and Logan Sargeant of Carlin, Jury Vips and Marcus Armstrong of Hitech Grand Prix, and Olli Caldwell and Ralph Boschung of Campos Racing.

Completing the list of competitors are Roy Nissany and Ayumi Iwasa of DAMS, Drugovich’s teammate Clement Novalak, Trident’s Richard Verschoor and Calan Williams, and Charouz Racing System’s Cem Bölükbaşı.

However, prior to the race, teams are given the opportunity to take a 72-hour in-season test in Barcelona. The test will start today and will run its course until Thursday evening.

It will be made up of two three-hour daily periods, with one scheduled in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Morning sessions are slated to start at 10:00 while the afternoon sessions will start at 15:00 on Wednesday and 14:00 on Thursday.
