Julio Rejón dominates NACAM F4 weekend in Mexico City

Julio Rejón takes two wins in NACAM F4

Julio Rejón came away with two race wins and a second place in the latest round of the North and Central American Formula 4 championship.

The eight-car grid headed to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez in Mexico City for the second round, which took place on a shortened version of the track used in Formula 1.

Mexican Rejón was leading the championship after the first round and quickly established himself as the man to beat once again as he put his car on pole for race one. He dominated the race and finished an impressive 17 seconds ahead of second-place Luis Carlos Perez.

Race two was not as straightforward for Rejón as he started from third on the grid and was made to fight for the win. He overtook Perez and then his brother Rodrigo Rejón to take his second win of the weekend.

Rejón once again started on pole for the third race but was immediately put under pressure by Colombian racer Juan Felipe Pedraza. On lap four, Pedraza made his move into the lead and was able to hold off Rejón to take his second win of the season.

Rejón is now leading the championship with 126 points, with Pedraza in second place on 88 points.
