Ricky Stenhouse Jr. paved his way onto the podium in the 2022 DuraMAX Drydene 400. The 34-year-old driver for JTG Daugherty Racing recorded his 4th podium for this team throughout the last three years. Stenhouse Jr. made the best out of the circumstances and took over second place with 51 laps. He remained consistent under immense pressure and retained his position behind the winner, Chase Elliott.
This was his first podium since the 2021 Bristol Dirt Race and marked his second top 10 finish for this season after finishing 10th in the second race for 2022 in California. Stenhouse Jr. enjoyed a fantastic form in 2017 when he recorded his two victories and ended up in 13th place in the overall standings, which was his best performance throughout his career.
The 34-year-old driver from Memphis will try to top his 22nd place in the overall standings from last year, but he will need to get more consistent to do so. Despite his 2nd place on Monday in Dover, he remains outside the top 25 with just 169 points out of 11 races.
