Team Penske and Wood Brothers change the pit-crew lineup

Published on

Team Penske and Wood Brothers Racing Team decided to make a pit-crew lineup change ahead of the race in Kansas. The switch will affect Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney in Penske as Curtis Thompson will be the front-tire changer for Cindric, while Ryan Flores will be responsible for the front tires of the No.12 Ford. Blaney is currently 3rd in the overall standings after a consistent start of the campaign, despite not having a podium yet. On the other hand, Austin Cindric has found his maiden victory in the 2022 Daytona 500, but he has managed to record only a single top 10 result afterward.

The No.12 and No.21 teams have switched tire carriers as these are the cars driven by Ryan Blaney for Penske and Harrison Burton for Wood Brothers Racing Team. Trevor Apsey will be in the help of Blaney, while Wade Moore will take care of Burton, who has been struggling to post a top 10 result this season. He is currently 29th in the overall standings, with the best result in 14th place in the last race in Darlington.
