Celtics sweep Durant and the Nets

Nets exit the Playoffs

The favorites to win the Eastern Conference Championship have been swept by the Boston Celtics in the very first round. Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets were beaten in a spectacular finish by the Boston Celtics led by their young star and friend of Durant’s, Jayson Tatum. The series started with a tense end as the Celtics were able to clinch the win by 1 single point. It seemed that Boston did not want a repeat of this and in the other three games in the series they came out and buried the Brooklyn Nets.

It was a physical series with both teams getting in many of a disagreement whilst on the court. Nets fans were hopeful that the stacked team that they had put together with the likes of Durant, Irving, and Drummond would result in gold but sadly for Brooklyn supporters their team was unable to reach the second round.

In the final game of the series the only Nets player that appeared to have any sort of presence on the court was Durant as he finished the game with 39 points in comparison to Drummond who is a 2x All-Star and was unable to put the ball through the basket even once.

Tatum had an amazing night scoring 29 points and showed fans that he can lead his team even against the mightiest of foes. Other notable performances were that of Brown and Smart which combined for a total of 42 points.

Fans were quick to hop onto social media platforms to clown on Durant, let’s just hope he doesn’t end up replying to one of them on one of his burner accounts.
