Golden State Warriors Still in Championship Window

Even though the Nuggets were able to stave off elimination, the Warriors still look like the best team in the NBA playoffs. Rarely do teams get sweeps anymore; it is very common for lopsided series to end 4-1.

It is important to note that the Warriors look like a team that is still well within their championship window. There are several factors that have made this possible. First, the core from their first run of championships, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, are healthy. The next factor, though, are the new role players surrounding them.

None more important than the emergence of Jordan Poole, who has made a case to join the splash brothers, which would make them the splash triplets. Not only has Poole had a big playoff series he has played great all year. He indeed looks like the type of player the Warriors could start to build around more in the coming years as the current core ages out.
