Ohio State Buckeyes vs Arkansas Razorbacks Preview – Sugar Bowl

The All State Sugar Bowl takes place tonight.

The Ohio State Buckeyes, one of the more popular teams in college football, are they will be in action tonight, Tuesday January 4th, as they will conclude their 2010/11 season. Ohio State’s opponent are the Arkansas Razorbacks and the two teams will meet in the coveted Sugar Bowl from the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.

The Buckeyes represent the Big Ten and they are a former top ranked team on the year. After Alabama fell during the middle part of the regular season, the Buckeyes then became the team to beat however their stay on top of the rankings did not last long. Shortly after becoming number 1 the Buckeyes lost to Wisconsin and, along with a few other teams, Ohio State just missed making the BCS National Championship game this year.

But ranked 6th in the nation and at 11-1 on the year Ohio State have a good chance to win the Sugar Bowl as they face 8th ranked Arkansas.

The Razorbacks are out of the tough SEC, the best conference in college football this season, and they are 10-2 overall. Both of their losses were to quality teams as the Razorbacks dropped games to the Capital One Bowl winning Alabama Crimson Tide and the BCS Finalist Auburn Tigers.

The Sugar Bowl takes place on Tuesday at 8:30pm ET and most are expecting a closely contested game but the Buckeyes are slight favorites.
