Queensland forward Dave Taylor could miss next month’s State of Origin decider against New South Wales after being charged with a Grade Two dangerous throw
The South Sydney Rabbitohs enforcer will appear before the NRL Judiciary committee this week and if he decides to take the early guilty plea will be suspended for four weeks, therefore ruling him out of State of Origin Game 3 at Suncorp Stadium.
Fighting the ban and then losing at a later date could result in a five-match ban.
Taylor received the charge on Monday after the NRL match video review committee came to the conclusion that the Bunnies’ star lifted Brisbane’s Scott Anderson in a tackle.
Taylor is almost certain to fight the charge in a bid to be free to line-up for Queensland on July 6th.
