Andreas Pereira hopes for a lifeline at United under new boss ten Hag.

Andreas Pereira hopes for United stay

Reports have circulated from Brazil that Andreas Pereira who is currently playing for Brazilian side Flamengo has hopes of reigniting his Manchester United career once he returns from his loan spell.

The key to Pereira’s hopes of resurrecting his career in England lies with new boss Erik ten Hag. The two have worked together in the past when both Pereira and ten Hag were at the Dutch side PSV.

As ten Hag’s managerial career has advanced it has been rumored that he has tried to sign Pereira on several different occasions. ten Hag sees Pereira as a defensive midfielder and with both Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba expected to be leaving the club this summer, Pereira could be a good short-term option for the new boss.

It looks like Pereira will return to Utd this summer as he has found himself out of the Flamengo starting lineup. Utd have a dilemma. They are in desperate need of a rebuild but it would remain to be seen whether a club would be willing to pay any significant transfer fee to take Pereria off their hands.
