Angel Di Maria’s future is uncertain as he approaches the end of his contract

The future of Argentine forward Angel Di Maria at PSG looks unclear as he approaches the end of his current deal.

Di Maria’s existing deal is set to come to an end this summer, but PSG do have the option of triggering an option to keep the Argentine for a further 12 months, however, it remains unclear if they will choose to do so.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding Di Maria’s future, Italian giants Juventus are rumored to be interested in signing him on a free transfer.

Now 34, Di Maria is looking to represent Argentina in the upcoming World Cup and has publicly stated that he wants to remain in Europe for one more season before returning to Argentina.

Juventus have proved in the past that they can make these sorts of transfers work and are one of the only major clubs around that don’t seem to have an aversion to signing players who are well into their thirties.

With PSG having an aging front line and the future of Kylian Mpabbe unclear, PSG will be looking for fresh recruits this summer. A short-term deal that would see Di Maria leave PSG might benefit all parties.
