Antony wanted by Liverpool

Antony wanted by Liverpool

It looks set to be a summer of upheaval for Ajax. The Dutch giants have already lost their manager Erik ten Hag to Manchester United, and it looks highly likely that their star Brazilian forward Antony will follow him out of the door.

According to reports in Brazil, Antony is a top transfer target for Liverpool, and they want to bring the Brazilian to Anfield.

Antony has had a great season in the Eredivise. A shining talent, the Brazilian has scored twelve goals for his club and has scored two goals for the Brazilian national side.

It looks set to be a pivotal summer for the Reds who face the prospect of losing both Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.

Both wide men are about to enter the final year of their contracts and Liverpool have some work to do to keep both at the club.

Both are about to hit their 30s, and in order to keep both, Liverpool will need to smash their existing wage structure – something at the moment the Liverpool board seems reluctant to do.

If either one were to leave the club this summer, Antony could be a great alternative and it looks like Liverpool will do anything they can to snap him up ahead of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
