Chelsea Fc To Launch Cash Plus Player Bid For Stevan Jovetic

Chelsea FC want Stevan Jovetic in cash-plus-player deal – report

Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Yossi Benayoun to Fiorentina as part of a cash-plus-player deal for Stevan Jovetic. Jovetic is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League and has been linked with the Blues for some time, while Arsenal are also thought to be interested. Chelsea were last month reported to have tabled a bid in the region of £22million for the 22-year-old, only for the Viola to insist he is not for sale. But according to Metro, Chelsea are set to return with a renewed bid for the Montenegro international and are ready to offer Benayoun as part of the package. Fiorentina co-owner Andrea Della Valle recently insisted Jovetic would not be allowed to leave the club this month, telling reporters: “I spoke to Jovetic and told him he is off the market for numerous reasons. I hope he understood that. “He is so young and has such a long career ahead of him that it is important he stays in Florence for a while. “Jovetic has to remain with us for at least another year and I hope many more. He is one of the few genuine European talents, so it’s only right that he stays. “Stevan seemed pretty relaxed. He has to understand that in life other opportunities will cross his path.” Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis had last month claimed that FOUR Premier League clubs were keen on signing Jovetic. Manchester City and rivals Manchester United have previously shown interest in the player, who still has four years left on his contract at Fiorentina, while reports in Italy suggest Juventus are also keen.
