– Newcastle have confirmed they are still interested in re-signing Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.

– Fulham manager Martin Jol admits he would have preferred Clint Dempsey to continue playing for the club until his future was resolved after leaving the 29-year-old out of his squad for the first two games of the new Premier League season as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

– Manchester United are ready to offload Anderson AND Nani this week, according to the Mail on Sunday.

– Juventus have confirmed their interest in Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea.

– Tottenham are ready to battle Liverpool in the race to sign Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland this week, according to the Mail on Sunday.

– Manchester City will complete the signing of Swansea winger Scott Sinclair on Tuesday, according to Sky Sports.

– Malaga youngster Isco could join Tottenham this week,  according to The People.

Arsenal are ready to launch a bid to sign Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote this week, according to the Sunday Mirror.
