Diego Costa And Arda Turan Will Start Or Atletico Madrid In Champions League Final

Diego Costa and Arda Turan WILL start for Atletico Madrid in Champions League final

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa and midfielder Arda Turan have been passed fit and will start tonight’s Champions League final.

Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa will start tonight’s Champions League final, after making a miraculous recovery from a hamstring tear.

Costa suffered the injury during last week’s La Liga title decider with Barcelona and was believed to be in danger of not only missing the Champions League final but also the World Cup. He was, however, flown to Belgrade by Atletico and underwent medical treatment involving horse placenta in a bid to speed up his recovery.

The procedure has appeared to have worked, with Marca reporting:Diego Costa has passed the acid test, sprinting not once, not twice, but three times during Atleti’s Friday session and training at full pelt with the rest of his teammates, so he looks odds-on to start against Real Madrid.

The Brazilian-turned-Spaniard did peel off from the rest of the squad at one point to do drills with an Atlético fitness coach, but he didn’t feel any after-effects from his right hamstring problem.

The paper also claims that Arda Turan, a doubt due to a pelvic injury, will also play against Real Madrid, with the Turk set to play through the pain barrier in Lisbon.

Arda Turan also trained normally and will be fit to feature in the final, even if he has to play through the pain barrier.
